Reasonable accommodation for the price at the Ramada Hotel within South Mimms Services. Echo what others have said about the rooms looking tired. There were stains on the carpet, side of the bed and the lampshade. The shower and bath didn't look too inviting either. Bed was comfortable, decent size TV and everything worked. Fine for trip for work. I would also note that unlike the Premier Inn next door, parking was included in the room price and there was member of staff available to check me in on arrival.

Great location if visiting london/potters bar. But for your own health and safety don’t stay here. The whole hotel stinks of cigarettes. The carpet in the corridors is clogged with dust and grime, and the rooms themselves are not fit for human habitation. Our room included: - filthy bedsheets (including stains and hairs) - dusty and stained carpets - mould all over the bathroom walls - cracked tiles around the toilet (which were also mouldy) - bathroom sink unit which hadn’t been cleaned at all - something sticky all over the bathroom door I ended up checking out and requesting a full refund (which was given immediately by a somewhat sheepish member of staff, suggesting I am not at all the first person to ask for this lately). I cannot express enough how awful this hotel was. I clearly won’t be staying again!

We found the Ramada South Mimms catered for all our needs a spacious room clean and inviting comfortable roomy beds. we did however take our own pillows. Friendly staff. we had our dog with us and outside is a lovely nature reserve to walk. We have stayed in 5 star hotels but this is surely as good. We will be visiting again

Perfect for a 2 night stay to visit family - parking on a Friday night was a bit of a nightmare early evening but no problems after that. Thought it might be noisy with the M25 and A1 so close, but it wasn't disruptive to sleep from our room.

I read someone's review 2weeks ago after I booked and just hoped it had got better. Turns out it is a little better. Doesn't smell of smoke so much now, plus it looks like they have tried to mend things, but would say it's a little way off that at the moment. I was in an executive room, but to where I normally stay this was a standard room... I would say well used and rooms need updating and maintaining to a better standard....

Decent hotel for the money, just a bit noisy as would be expected at a busy service area. I paid for full English breakfast but at the time didn't fancy a full breakfast but wasn't allowed to just have a bacon roll so some of it was wasted. Nice not to have to pay to park

Does the job of being a room for the night. Standard of maintenance is poor (sealant everywhere) and it’s not a modern hotel. Even worse, you cannot even use the plug at the desk in the “executive room” because the threshold stops you plugging it in completely.

the rooms were very cold when I entered. I think it should have been warmed up for at least an hour, I emphasize that it was 1 degree or two outside. inside it smells unventilated, there was mold on the windows, at least in room 9 where I lived. dust, TV does not work enough problems for a hotel. I think a hostel would be a better fit because it's expensive and it takes advantage of the fact that the M25 is very close, but it's not worth the money at all!
